CNC Turning Services
CNC turning at Olympus Machining LLC is performed on a Chien Wei CWB-450-CNC live-tool lathe with a 10-inch chuck and bar capacity through the spindle, supporting precision cylindrical components from short prototype runs through scheduled production releases. Typical CNC-turned parts include shafts, bushings, spacers, threaded fittings, valve bodies, end caps, hydraulic adapters, sensor housings, and custom round components for aerospace, defense, robotics, medical-device, and industrial OEM programs. We hold tolerances down to plus or minus 0.0005 inches on critical diameters, control surface finish to 32 Ra and finer on request, and document part-to-part repeatability with CMM-verified first articles. Routinely turned materials include aluminum 6061-T6 and 7075-T6, stainless 303, 304, 316, and 17-4 PH, carbon steel, brass, copper, Delrin, UHMW, PEEK, and titanium Grade 2 and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Live tooling supports cross-drilling, cross-milling, and ID/OD threading without secondary setups, reducing handling and tolerance stack-up. Quality artifacts available with turned parts include AS9102 Rev C First Article Inspection Reports, material certifications with heat-lot traceability, Certificates of Conformance, and full CMM dimensional reports. Olympus Machining is an ITAR-registered, CMMC Level 1 compliant CNC machine shop in Hanover, Pennsylvania (CAGE Code 9V9P0, NAICS 332710).
